Beautiful tribute a wonderful city. Thank you for saying such nice things about Chicago. We get dumped on much of the time. My great grandparents immigrated here from Italy.
I was in Chicago in April, 2016. I spent an entire day walking and taking in the sites. Walked till I couldn't walk any further. What a beautiful place.
Make a trip up to Milwaukee some visit . Very nice people, gorgeous lake front and art museum, blue-collar vibe you describe, way less traffic! Interesting stories about your family. Thank you. Hope your visit is good!
I'll be there too in a couple of hours. And I didn't think I could possibly look forward to it more — but reading this, somehow I do. Thank you so much for doing this tour.
Is this the same Michael Ian Black of «Wedding Daze »?
That was really enjoyable. As an Australian, your reflections gave me rich insight to Chicago, and your family history. Lovely.
Interesting story about your family history. Wish I knew more about mine.

Chicago. Tough, but big hearted. Spot on.
Now let’s talk about your choice of Purple Rain as an appropriate grandma outing. Sheeesh.
This was lovely!
Damn, you are a fine writer
Do you happen to know what time the M&G is? I’ve been trying to call the Riveria and it just goes to voicemail. I’m legitimately afraid of missing it!
