We need a new New Year’s greeting. Happy New Year or Happy 2026 just doesn’t work. The old ways are lacking now, a sure sign our culture has been highjacked right with our government. We don’t want to wish Crappy New Year on anyone, hell we don’t need to-it already is a crappy new year as this great post declares. Maybe just wishing for a new New Year-“Cheers to a New Year for ya!”. Nah, still too hopeful. “Cheers! And may the bastards drop hard like the ball in Times Square.” Fixed it.
I think the message going forward to regular Americans is, we need to finally do what Jefferson envisioned...rewrite the Constitution on a regular basis.
Yeah, it'd be ugly...maybe even violent. But it is LONG overdue
You know what needs to happen now? 🤔 WE need to clearly articulate what WE want America to look like because clearly the old America is gone. I would like Universal Healthcare for everyone, $0 for prescriptions, doctor’s visits, surgery, lab tests! When the ACA first came out this was a reality for the poorest Americans. I want everyone to have that. I want every American to not have to worry about medical debt or prescription drugs or going to the doctor.
He’s tried all of 2025 to make “Blue states…suffer for their opposition” and he’s increasingly failing. This coming year will be hard for sure, but we have the strength in community to outlast this rotten season.
Happy New Year, Michael! You and this community here made 2025 much more bearable. It always made me realize that I was not alone in feeling trapped in this life we are living. We are all victims.
By the way, I heard he has like 2-3 months to live. But evil doesn’t go out that easily, so we will see.
