The People have always disliked Trump and rejected him. The media has been promoting him to us since the 1980s and they refuse to quit him. It's infuriating. Why don't they understand that most Americans are better than this?
It is all absolutely maddening to me. What are they benefiting from by propping him up? My best guess is that they see roughly half the country as being Team Trump and think that if they are in the graces of Trump, they'll have instant support from that cult.
As you mentioned, it's about power. Ever notice how people can drain our energy with their complaints/hates/fears? They're incapable of generating their own energy and life force; so then they use up what they've taken and have to "feed" again. That's today's Republican base. They're filled with rage, fear, and hate and the only way to generate power is to go to rallies and feed off one another to fill themselves up; alone, they're powerless. Republican politicians do the same thing. They're so power hungry, they don't care that they're feeding off a rancid, putrid, well-past its expiration date piece of garbage. It's about power. The only way they know how to survive is to siphon it from others, even if it rots them from the inside out.
This is why I pay you real American dollars, to tell me what I already know. Preaching to the crowd. And I love it that at least others “get it”. A few others anyway…
The truly fascinating thing is that the overwhelming majority of election fraud incident in the last quarter century or so have been committed by Republicans
I agree. They aren't trying to fix him or want to fix him. They want to be as close to power as they can get, and to do what? To have the power to enact policy that solidifies their power
I keep trying to fight feelings of impending doom about this.

If only there were a God to help us all. Helping ourselves doesn't seem to be going very well.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s them.
That’s a damn big limb.
In all seriousness, sir, we are fucked. Whether Trump is prez or not.

They don’t give a damn about Trump. This is an opportunity for the easiest pathway to becoming president.
Yup, all of this. Wouldn't be surprised if they find some way to throw him out of office.
