And then there’s ascribing the teaching of evolution as the root of all evils. All evils.

Great piece. If it were only his peculiar marriage and tag teaming for porn with his 17 year old son it would maybe alright. However all of his policies will take us down if we don’t check him.

“ The Clark Kent demeanor obscures personal bigotry and animosity towards those who do not share his biblical worldview.”

I don’t believe he has a biblical worldview. I believe that he may believe his worldview is biblical, but I believe more strongly that he keeps a conservative, very surface level knowledge of the Bible, knowing that if he digs too deep he’ll see that he does not follow Jesus, but an idol made in America so that white men can live for money and power, and destroy the weak and vulnerable for personal gain.

Yet, somehow this humble servant also lives in a 12,000 square foot home. How does this make sense? I don’t know. Is it, somehow, scandalous? I have no reason to believe so.

Scammers like Johnson depend upon people like you giving them the "benefit of the doubt", even though they have done nothing credible to deserve that consideration.

Keep on pretending there's nothing wrong with having a 12,000 square foot house with no bank account. Sure.

Religious extremism has been the GOP's bread and butter for quite a few years now. Mike Johnson's past should come as absolutely no surprise. The more shocking thing is he put that aside for a minute to keep the government running. No doubt that will mean his days as Speaker are numbered.

'Mike Johnson' is a name an inexperienced writer would use as a character in a badly-written story.

Only this is in no way fictional, is it? It is real and very dangerous. Speaker Johnson's worldview is far more dangerous and insidious than any quirk he has in his personal life. Leave that part alone; focus on his despicable view of the diversity that is humanity.

There is enough to pick on there.

It is very real and very dangerous and as you aptly add, insidious. As you say, be scared.

This was a tricky morning eye opener MIB. You got me, you nearly lost me, then you hit it home. Thank you.

It could only be a better name if his middle name started with a “Y”. Then he’d be “M.Y. Johnson”. That is all.

I will guess he doesn’t have a skeleton in his closet but does have a cemetery. And what did happen to that adopted child?
