I love this. I have never lost my childhood wonder but when it comes to the human race as a whole I do wonder how some can be so evil and not see the wonder around them.

I'm sad that I missed you when you were in Minnesota. Please give warning next time you plan to visit here!

It is all coming together. All in all is all we are. Everything is everything. God is wonder. There is so much we don’t know about the world, about the universe, and about each other. Since we don’t know everything our baseline condition should be kindness, forgiveness and grace to make space for the unknown. Tame your fears and anxiety and do not unleash them as weapons upon each other. That is what religion was supposed to be, I think. But I don’t need a religion to make me do that. I just need to choose it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cheers to you MIB and everyone in the chat.

Love this! Awe is the only spirituality we need. Better to be amazed than to settle for man-made fairy tales that propose explanations for things that cannot be explained or known. To wonder is way more courageous.

Beautiful! When we change our perspective to one of wonder, we see wonderful things all around us. Thank you for this well-written piece.

We are, indeed, an amazing species. We can hate each other for no reason, we can kill each other for turf or tribe, and we can only imagine the grandeur of a space filled with unknowns that will probably never be seen by human eyes by having human geniuses develop highly advanced, very complicated mathematical skills and help the rest of us understand what they see.

Amazing.

May this time with your family bring joy without the rush and madness outside the doors of our homes. Take a deep breath and look at the universe. Wow. Just wow.

Great piece, I really loved this one. Unfortunately it’s all moot because Rosanne Barr says the earth is flat, I mean how can we be spinning through space when we are clearly motionless in our BarcaLoungers? But your thoughts were lovely too. 😉❤️

I'm so glad you had a nice trip. I don't want to detract from this beautiful piece of writing by asking to hear more about your cat, but should you ever feel moved to talk about them more I'd be eager to hear.

Cats are a bit of wonder for me.

Fr Richard Rohr says wonder leads to awe and awe leads to wisdom.

Glad you had a good trip to the Midwest.
