The Intelligence Committee finally gets their UFO SCIF meeting
“I think they’re covering this thing up… And these guys pretty much verified that.” Rep. Tim Burchett.
On Friday, as many as 16 Congresspeople entered a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) to hear from Thomas Monheim, an inspector general for the intelligence community, regarding the sensational claims that the US is in possession of several craft of non-human origin.
Regardless of your beliefs on this matter, consider for a moment the extraordinary nature of such a meeting: Congresspeople being briefed, in secret, about recovered UFOs. This meeting comes on the heels of others, some public and some not, all dedicated to the outlandish proposition that at least one – and potentially several – non-human intelligences (NHI) are here. Moreover, Grusch alleges the US has been aware of their presence since at least the 1930’s.
The “at least” part is important because it’s also possible (many would say probable) that this intelligence has been with us for much, much longer. Even those casually aware of this field are probably aware that reports of mysterious objects that fly in the sky go back as long as human history. More unsettling is the fact that reports of communication with such NHI go back just as long. (Consider the prevalence of angels, spirits, faerie folk, etc. in mythology, holy books, and world literature.)
Many of you may also be aware of the Schumer-Rounds Amendment, which, according to The Hill, “would have mandated the Federal Government’s exercise of eminent domain over UAP-related material controlled by private persons or entities.” Although the original amendment was gutted by the time of its passage, it is remarkable that the most powerful congressional Democrat lent his name and support to legislation that explicitly discusses extraterrestrial craft retrievals, reverse engineering, and non-human intelligences.
Why would he do such a thing?
Is it credible to believe that Schumer would have pushed this amendment without the knowledge and cooperation of the White House? In a presidential election year? Now I may be just be a simple country lawyer, but something about that doesn’t add up unless there’s some kind of there there.
But what?
What’s behind this sudden and abrupt about-face from a government that has spent the last eighty years denying the existence of such craft?
After Friday’s meeting, many of the attendees stopped to speak to the press. While none of them were able to say much given the secretive nature of the briefing, it’s worth nothing that every one of them treated the subject with respect, rather than the de facto ridicule which has been the norm since the 1950’s. “This is the first real briefing [in which we’ve made] some progress on some of the claims Mr. Grusch has made,” said Rep. Jared Moscovitz (D-FL).
“We got some pretty definitive stuff [that] made what I think more credible,” said Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), who is already on the record with his belief that the US is hiding information about UFOs.
“It does give us a direction to go next. And that’s the key thing,” said Rep. Eric Burlison [R-MO], who has, in the past, expressed skepticism regarding the topic.
So where does it go next? Several Representatives said they would like to bring David Grusch back for further testimony, as well as other, new witnesses who may have more firsthand knowledge regarding the alleged programs. Apparently, many such whistleblowers have already come forward. In June, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) told NewsNation that “multiple individuals [have] corroborated [Grusch’s] explosive allegations of a secret, decades-long UFO crash retrieval and reverse-engineering effort.”
Where are those whistleblowers? Will the American public get a chance to hear from them? Where does their testimony agree with or diverge from Grusch’s? What is so sensitive about this subject that the public remains largely in the dark? If there’s nothing to it, why didn’t anybody leave that SCIF and say so? What’s happening in our skies and seas? What exactly is above and below us?
“It’s really important that there’s disclosure and transparency,” said Rep. Robert Garcia [D-CA] “I think that’s what the public wants. It’s also a very serious topic… it’s not a joke.”
One of the reporters laughingly asked Garcia about interdimensional beings, per a statement made by another Congressperson. Garcia didn’t laugh in response. He didn’t even crack a smile. Instead, he tiptoed around the question before saying, “I definitely have more questions than less questions.”
Garcia followed that up by saying he would like more hearings.
As for my own beliefs on this subject, I will reiterate what I’ve said - I have no idea what to make of any of this other than I am convinced that there’s something happening. Something is out there. The government has said as much. Other governments have said as much. So what is it? The only thing I can say is what it is not - to paraphrase Rep. Garcia, the only thing I know for certain is that it’s not is a joke.
Speaking of interdimensional beings, Shakespeare's Hamlet was on to this.
“There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy”
It’s heartening to see government officials finally taking this seriously. If only more of the press would. In my opinion, this is the biggest story of our lifetime. Now, I love me some Tay-Tay, but I’m sure she’d agree that the very real possibility of interdimensional beings existing trumps her holding hands with her boyfriend (the subject of an actual headline I saw this morning).
