I think the issue is the media is completely avoiding to tell these people about the “gorey details” in language they can understand. How life in this country will change. How everyone who is not a billionaire will live uncomfortable lives. They will lose a lot of agency to make the decisions they can make today. If you need to, tell them the price of tequila will skyrocket. Coffee will be much more expensive. Talk about how Elon is saying we will need to go into an economic depression for two years. Tell them the blunt facts in simple terms. The video games you play. The movies you’re allowed to watch. Think censorship is going to stop at banning books? Mike Johnson monitors his kids porn habits. You want him spying on your browser history. Give them “The Day After” version of the facts and scare the crap out of people with what really could happen in this country. Without healthcare, PEOPLE WILL DIE. Need proof? Abortion ban related deaths is the proof.

I keep hearing about kitchen table

discussions…so put it in kitchen table terms and hit them with facts about how this will effect them in their every day lives.

Also, we have plenty of graphic details about what happened during our last pandemic. Maybe they need a reminder of what those bodies laid out on the concrete in front of the hospital looked like…or people fighting over toilet paper at Costco. It’s time to start sugar coating and get serious.
