And with that, you and Amber put on the ten funniest seconds in the history of television. I am so thrilled that you are returning in February. We’re going to need you to keep ourselves sane.
Congratulations on a second season. You are spot on, its great having a job. Also, consider this as a positive, your kids get to know their dad is on TV. Thats pretty cool.
This is a superficial and perhaps politically incorrect observation, but you look decidedly younger, more fit, and better looking on HIGNFY than in your selfies. Is it the studio lighting? No, I think it's the selfies. You have bad selfie skills.
Political humor keeps me sane and I love the show, I’m always sad when you guys and John Oliver are off season. But thank you for being there for us to laugh at the insanity of our times. Your service is invaluable. 🙏🏼
Congratulations on getting another season! I thought you came across as intelligent and well informed in the clips I saw on YouTube. We only have antenna tv but maybe I’ll subscribe to Max for a month and watch it there.
I highly recommend getting a hype-person. My husband has a super dead-pan and dry sense of humor and is not the loud and excitable kind of fellow (the complete opposite of his mother, which makes sense). So, when I need someone to celebrate a win or kick the imposter to the curb - I have a few hype people in my Rolodex to call to yell and scream at a level 11. It really helps.
This resonates! Even calling myself an "artist" or "musician" sometimes makes me feel like an imposter as compared with people who work full time as artists, or have been "doing it" for longer, etc. I've realized that even self-identifying ("out loud") with these terms can be a positive step towards developing confidence in sharing my work. Thank you.
Well thanks a lot Michael for plagiarizing my interior monologue! But really thank you for having the guts to lay it out there for the world like many of my personal artist heroes like R Crumb. 👏❤️ say hi to Amber. Had the pleasure of directing her for a couple of seasons of Stevie TV and had the pleasure of directing the episode of Earth to Ned you were on. And you were great. You are in fact a smart and funny comedian but the fact that you have the courage to be honest about your insecurities makes you way more human and interesting.
Fantatstic last episode, Ellen! It was fun to watch Kara skewer you and I'm excited for Season 2.
I suspected it was Roy all along!
Hey, Rafael, what’s your favorite pizza?
Free pizza!

Appreciated this piece so much!

I needed this today. Thank you.
Thanks Michael. I've always felt like an imposter as a musician and writer. Appreciate your kind words.
Imposter syndrome is horrible. Keep doing what you’re doing.
….. Best moment was when Amber was dying of laughter about your Ninja Turtle past

As I said to my partner a few weeks ago, “Michael Ian Black and Amber Ruffin are a delightful combo!!”
